| Although it is an island, Prince Edward Island is well-connected to the mainland and you can get here easily.
If you are driving, you'll pass through rugged Maine and craggy-rocked New Brunswick and you'll be rewarded with dessert at the end when the stunning Confederation Bridge rises up to greet you. One of the world's longest continuous multi-span bridges in the world, its elegant arches are an architectural delight.
You can also take a mini-cruise on the overnight ferry from Portland, Maine to Yarmouth, located on the very tip of Nova Scotia. From there you can drive to the Confederation Bridge or take the summer ferry from Caribou, Nova Scotia. For an up-to-the-minute schedule call toll-free, 1-888-249-SAIL. Or relax and take the train. VIA Rail and Amtrak (via Montréal) offer service as far as Moncton, New Brunswick and from there you can take a bus or rent a car. If you chose to fly, check with your travel agent for the best flight schedule. Once you're here, Evening Primrose is easy to find. From the Confederation Bridge take the Trans Canada Highway east to North Tryon, turn right on Rte 115 (the North Tryon Crossroad) and drive about a 1/4 mile, then left on the first unpaved road, Lord's Pond Road. If you go up a hill and pass red barns, you've gone too far. You can't miss us! |
