- The South Shore has lots of soothing, scenic trails. Pick up a Res Sands Self-Guided Tour booklet and choose a trail that suits you best. you will not be dissappointed. A good portion of the Confederation Trail stretches throughout the south shore area. In the summer you can hike or bike your way along. Maybe you'll discover the Farrar Road in South Melville. Or do some geat birdwatching. Or scour the beach in Hampton to find sea glass. It's little finds like this that can make your vacation here fantastic. Pack a picnic and make an entire day of it.
